Cookie policy

We use a small, deliberate set of cookies to keep the site working and to understand how it is used. This page explains what each one does and how to manage them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site recognise your device, keep you signed in, and remember preferences between visits.

Similar technologies — including local storage, session storage, and browser fingerprinting — are covered by this policy whenever we use them in the same way as cookies.

How we use cookies

We categorise cookies by the role they play. You can’t opt out of strictly necessary cookies — the site will not work without them — but you can control the rest.

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for core functionality: maintaining your authenticated session, remembering your cookie preferences, and protecting against cross-site request forgery. They do not track you across other sites.

Analytics

These cookies let us count visits, understand how the site is used, and improve the product. All analytics data is aggregated and never sold. Records are keyed on random anonymous identifiers; where session-replay-style analytics is used, form inputs and sensitive fields are masked by default.

Preferences

These cookies remember choices you’ve made — such as your dismissing the cookie banner or selecting a language — so we don’t have to ask you again on your next visit.

What we don't do

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not sell your data. We do not allow third-party ad networks to set cookies on daisy.inc.

Third parties

Some cookies are set by providers we rely on to deliver the product. We use them in the following categories, and we update this page if the categories change.

  • Authentication — session cookies set only after you sign in.
  • Hosting and routing — infrastructure cookies for request routing and baseline security.
  • Product analytics — aggregated usage data, keyed on anonymous identifiers.
  • User-experience analytics — aggregated interaction data with sensitive fields masked.

Each provider publishes its own privacy notice. We can share the current list of processors on request — email us using the contact below.

Managing your preferences

On this site

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the cookie banner the first time you visit. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser’s cookies for daisy.inc and reloading the page, or by emailing us at andrew@daisy.inc.

In your browser

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies directly. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site may stop working. Follow your browser’s help page for steps — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge all publish clear instructions.

If you want a site-agnostic opt-out, enabling the “Do Not Track” setting or using browser-level tracking protection will reduce what analytics cookies can see.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when we add, remove, or meaningfully change how we use cookies. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on daisy.inc before they take effect.
